The DOOLEYS Annual Christmas Fair held on December 3 has passed and with it a great day for the community to get involved for a worthy cause. It is the Club’s major charity event for The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, having raised $30,000 to aid in cancer research and support for our youth battling cancer.

The sun was shining and families were outdoors enjoying carnival rides, activities and great entertainment. The fair definitely sparked the excitement and Christmas cheer among families and especially the children, as they smiled their way through the day – with special guest appearances from Bandage Bear, Santa Claus and the DreamWorks Trolls who gave a great performance. The DOOLEYS Christmas Fair is a calendar event and one we look forward to every year – the countdown to 2018 is on and we hope to see your smiling faces again.

John Munce, Chairman of DOOLEYS Board of Directors presented Associate Professor Jennifer Bryne with a cheque for $30,000, a donation only possible from the commitment of our Volunteers who worked together as a community to make the day successful. For this reason, we would like to extend our gratitude and thanks to all Volunteers and Community Partners for your support and dedication to make the event possible. An even bigger thank you to all our Members and Guests who came and supported the day in good spirits.
